FAQs

  • A practitioner actively engages in a specific holistic practice to support personal growth or healing. Occasionally, a practitioner may also take on the role of facilitator, creating a safe space, guiding conversations, and offering tools to help individuals on their journeys.

At Routes, we use the terms "practitioner" and "service provider" interchangeably.

  • Routes is currently based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. We acknowledge that this land is the traditional territory of many nations, including the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Anishinaabe, the Chippewa, the Haudenosaunee, and the Wendat peoples. It is now home to many diverse First Nations, Inuit, and Métis communities. We also recognize that Toronto is covered by Treaty 13 with the Mississaugas of the Credit.

  • When selecting practitioners for Routes, we evaluate various factors to ensure their services are grounded in integrity and ethical practices. Our 9 key pillars guarantee that the practitioners we list meet these standards.

    1. Integrity: Practitioners demonstrate integrity by being honest and transparent in all interactions, ensuring their actions align with their values and the best interests of those they serve.

    2. Ethical: Practitioners adhere to ethical principals by prioritizing honesty, fairness, respect, and accountability, cultivating trust and positive relationships within the community.

    3. Inclusive: Holistic practitioners commit to honoring the diverse beliefs and perspectives of individuals, fostering an inclusive environment where all viewpoints are respected and different backgrounds are embraced.

    4. Accessible: Practitioners do their best to ensure services are financially attainable and accessible to individuals living with diverse abilities. Though complete accessibility is not always possible, they remain committed to creating an inclusive environment that allows everyone the opportunity to participate. *Please read more about the prices for services offered for more details.

    7. Self-Development: Practitioners are dedicated to their own personal growth and inner work.

    8. Communication: Practitioners prioritize active listening, creating a safe space for open dialogue. By fully engaging with others, they acknowledge feelings and perspectives, fostering trust and understanding within the community.

    9. Autonomy: Practitioners honour clients' rights to make their own decisions about care. If a client chooses not to proceed with a service, their choice is respected, fostering a supportive and trusting environment.
